DR. VASUDEVSHARAN AGGARWAL was born on 7th August 1904 at Kheda Village situated in Pillakhua area in Uttar Pradesh. He was looked after by his grandfather Lala Chhabbamal in his early childhood as his father lived in Lucknow serving in the office of a local Body. Therefore he received religious consecration from him as he used to take him to a Shiva Temple near the village. He used to teach him how to pay abeisance and worship him by lighting earthen lamps. His grand father was fond of listening sermans from Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta and also used to deliver talks to his friends and aquaintance from this holy book in order to imbibe in them the sacredness of God. He also inspired his grand son to learn by heart the ‘Sahashra Names’ of Vishnu and to contemplate them repeatedly.
